Wave of fires in Judea and Samaria: efforts to contain the fire in Beit Dror

Firefighters are operating at three fire sites in the Judea sector, while control has not yet been achieved over the fire near the settlement of Beit Dror in the southern Hebron Hills. About 14 teams are working on the spot in an effort to stop the spread of the fire, which is moving under the influence of the winds.

At the same time, teams from the Judea regional station are working on a fire at Hill 26, near Kiryat Arba, as well as in the settlement of Ma'ale Amos, where a mobile home used for housing caught fire and burned down completely. The fire department stated that the structure was used for housing soldiers near the entrance to the settlement, and that there were no casualties in the incident.

At the Samaria regional station, five fire crews are working on a fire that started on Highway 5 and spread to an open area next to the road. The incident is impacting vehicle traffic on the route.

Deputy Chief Tamir Erez, commander of the Judea regional station, reported that at Hill 26, firefighters managed to stop the flames before they reached the line of houses. According to him, after receiving the report about the fire near Beit Dror, many teams were diverted to the location, including support teams from the Southern District.

In the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority, they noted that an investigation has been opened to check the circumstances of the outbreak of the fire in Ma'ale Amos. Police officers of the Judea and Samaria District are working at all incident sites to direct traffic on the roads.
