US Evacuates B-1 Bombers From UK Air Base Over Security Concerns
The US military has evacuated all B-1 bombers from Fairford Air Base in the UK following security concerns and a foiled terror plot, relocating the aircraft back to the United States.

The United States military has evacuated all B-1 bombers from the Fairford Air Base in the United Kingdom following security concerns stemming from a disrupted terror plot last week, US officials told the Wall Street Journal.
According to the report, the decision marks a strategic shift for the US, which had utilized the British military facility near London as a launching pad for strikes against Iran. Prior to the evacuation, more than ten B-1 bombers were stationed at the base.
The Pentagon confirmed the redeployment, stating that all American bombers stationed at Fairford have returned to their home bases in the United States while remaining capable of conducting global strikes directly from US territory. The British Ministry of Defense declined to comment.
Last week, six suspects were arrested over an alleged plot targeting the base. Although the suspects were subsequently released, British authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
