Car hit by truck and plows into store in Kiryat Gat: video
A private vehicle shattered the display window of a clothing store on Derech HaDarom. The truck driver was moderately injured, and two women inside the store sustained light injuries. MADA medics stated that the incident could have ended in a tragedy.
A Kia Picanto collided this afternoon, Tuesday, with the display window of a clothing store in Kiryat Gat after being struck by a truck. In this unusual accident, the truck driver, whose condition was classified as moderate, and two women inside the store, who sustained light injuries, were harmed.
The report of the accident was received at the MADA 101 center in the Lachish region at 12:45. The incident occurred on Derech HaDarom, and MADA teams evacuated the injured to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
Senior medic of the MADA motorcycle unit, Meir Avivi, and MADA medic Stav Butbul stated: "This is an unusual accident. The vehicle was right inside the store with the doors and display windows shattered. We scanned the premises and, by a miracle, there were only two women inside who were only lightly injured. We provided them with initial medical treatment and evacuated them to the hospital. This incident could have ended in a tragedy."
