Netflix star says goodbye after 5 seasons: "Serious health crisis"
The remarkable actor, 33-year-old Chase Stokes, announced that his departure from the teen series "Outer Banks" comes due to dealing with a health crisis that requires him to stop and take care of himself.

The remarkable actor, 33-year-old Chase Stokes, announced that he will not continue his journey in the teen series "Outer Banks" after 5 seasons and six years of playing the lead role of John B. Alongside the news, he revealed that this decision comes due to dealing with a serious health crisis.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor said that after finishing the filming of the last season, he discovered a significant deterioration in his health:
"I left the show with so many things wrong," he said, adding that his liver and kidneys were in the process of failing and that his mental state was also out of balance.
As a result, Stokes decided not to rush into the next project and to focus on his health. In the tests he underwent, he was found to have abnormally low testosterone levels, and at the same time, he underwent Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment and intensive psychological therapy. "I probably wouldn't have been around much longer if I hadn't taken care of my body," he admitted.
"I have a lot of reasons to live, so many more things I want to do and achieve," he continued, emphasizing the importance of knowing how to stop every once in a while. "I feel great, for the first time in a long time," he added, sharing that his condition today is much better.
Regarding the end of his time on "Outer Banks," he said he wants to use this transition to show other sides of himself. According to him, he still feels that casting directors tend to put him in a certain box of a "teen star," but now he wants to prove that he is capable of dealing with more complex characters as well.
