Is there a resemblance? Dr. Yael Doron's mother steals the spotlight

We are used to seeing Dr. Yael Doron on the psychologist's couch as part of the expert team on 'Married at First Sight', where she guides couples through their journey. This Monday morning, we met her mother, Batya Ben-Dov, who spoke on the 'Keshet 12' morning show about Yael's childhood and shared a particularly intriguing detail about the day she was born (a new episode of 'Married at First Sight' airs Tuesday, after the news).

"The moment Yael was born, July 21, 1969, Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, at that exact minute," the proud mother shared. "Since then, it has been customary for us to say that when he said the famous sentence 'That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind', he was referring to the fact that Yael was born. Since then, she has been one of a kind, and it was evident even before the diaper stage, really from the moment of birth."

When asked if she ever thinks she would do things differently than her daughter, Batya replied:

"I wouldn't say that. I don't feel so involved in this field and I accept her opinion. She is very opinionated and I respect her views in many areas. From a young age, she was like that—an outstanding student who helped her friends. She always treated others with care, and that evolved over the years. Her personality turned toward this area later in life."

Regarding her pride in the successful pairings on the show, she added:

"Without a doubt, the whole family is involved. Her sister defined it as 'shards of glory' that spill over onto us from the compliments she receives. We are all involved and texting during the episode; there is a constant exchange of thoughts during the program."
