One of the most prominent among them is television presenter Dana Varon, who often speaks about religion and spreads it in a positive and joyful light. However, specifically regarding the subject of head covering, she recently revealed a surprising attitude and admitted: "It did not make me happy."
In an interview on "Kan Moreshet," when asked why she decided to wear a wig instead of a headscarf, she explained: "This is my truth. When I was wearing a headscarf, I was not happy." The host tried to press her, asking how a woman can walk around with a wig that is more beautiful than her real hair, to which Varon replied: "I will say on a personal note, I am not modest enough, I am still on the way."
Varon further explained her perception regarding the wig: "The idea of such hair being okay and my own hair not being okay is because it is dead and there is no life in it." She also shared some of the criticism she received on social media: "Once someone wrote to me on Instagram, 'Why are you wearing a wig? It is not modest at all.' I told him: 'What are you doing here?'. I am not coming to guide a religious public; I am aiming at a public that does not keep the Torah and commandments. I want to surprise them and say: 'If your wife puts on a wig, it is not certain that she will be less beautiful'."
