Sports reporter reveals sexual harassment: "Sexual offers that include money"

Shay Hernstein, a sports reporter for the "Sport 1" channels, shared in a series of Instagram stories that she has been dealing with ongoing sexual harassment for about half a year from a person who, according to her, repeatedly contacts her through various profiles on social networks. Even after she blocked him time and again, he continued to contact her and managed to obtain her personal phone number.

Hernstein said that among the messages she received were explicit sexual content, detailed descriptions, and also "sexual offers that include money." According to her, the harasser also wrote her sexual descriptions related to her photos, and she chose not to publish their full content.

After she identified the person who she claims is behind the messages, she turned to the police, filed a complaint, gave testimony, and attached documentation of the messages she received. However, she claims that the harassment continued even after that, and she fears attending the games she covers for fear that he will harm her.

In a video she posted, Hernstein said that on one occasion she called the police station after she received a threat that the harasser would come to her workplace. When she asked for a patrol car to be sent to the location, she was told to call again if the person actually arrived. Following this, she said that she finds it difficult to understand why preventive actions are not taken before an actual violent event occurs.

She further added that she fears for her privacy and personal safety, and she called on her followers to report the accounts from which, according to her, the messages were sent.
