40-year-old woman died in a fire in a residential building in Holon
The deceased was rescued by fire and rescue forces at the scene in critical condition, and shortly after, her death was pronounced on the spot. The circumstances of the fire are being investigated. Firefighting teams continue to operate at the scene.
A woman aged about 40 was rescued from a fire that broke out in a residential building in Holon in critical condition; her death was pronounced at the scene.
The report about the fire was received at the 101 emergency center of Magen David Adom shortly after 06:00 on Tuesday morning. The blaze erupted in a residential building on Oragim Street. The woman was extracted from the scene in critical condition, and medical personnel soon pronounced her death, as she showed no signs of life and was suffering from severe smoke inhalation and burns.
Israel Fire and Rescue Services stated that approximately six firefighting and rescue teams were deployed to contain the blaze, scan the premises to rule out any trapped individuals, and extinguish the fire. A fire investigator has been summoned to the scene to determine the circumstances of the outbreak.
Magen David Adom paramedics Lior Paz and Omri Vixelbaum reported:
"When we arrived at the scene, we saw a lot of smoke and flames. During the firefighting operations, the firefighters handed over a woman aged about 40 who was unconscious, pulseless, and not breathing, with burns and smoke inhalation. We performed medical checks and, unfortunately, had to pronounce her death. Additional Magen David Adom teams are securing the firefighting operations and remain prepared to provide medical assistance if necessary."
