The company Perot HaMoshav Ben Yosef, which specializes in packing and exporting citrus fruits, has filed for a stay of proceedings after accumulating debts of approximately 7.3 million shekels. The company, which has been operating for about 30 years, reports a series of difficulties that led to the cessation of its operations and the dismissal of all employees, except for the CEO.

The request, published on the News1 website, was submitted to the Central District Court in Lod as part of insolvency proceedings. According to the company, it employed about 80 workers during the active season, including contract and foreign workers, but due to the crisis, operations were halted.

In the submitted documents, it is claimed that the war and the boycott of Israeli produce in Europe severely damaged the company's operations. According to the firm, 11 containers of citrus fruits were destroyed after the goods remained unclaimed and rotted, while customers canceled existing orders.

Alongside this, the company points to a dispute with Kibbutz Mishmar HaSharon, in which it was required to pay 700,000 shekels for electricity. It claims that the freezing of funds and other measures taken against it disrupted its operations. The company is also managing a lawsuit for 1.1 million shekels against a staffing agency, citing damages caused to its business.

Currently, Perot HaMoshav is requesting the appointment of a trustee for a period of 60 days to examine whether it is possible to continue its operations or liquidate its assets. Its debts to creditors, suppliers, and service providers are estimated at approximately 7.3 million shekels.
