Weapons cache uncovered in Kafr Kanna, two suspects arrested
Northern District police officers, accompanied by an aerial drone, located a cache of weaponry earlier this week in an agricultural structure in Kafr Kanna. During the search, an improvised pistol, an M16-type weapon, magazines, and a large amount of ammunition were seized.

Two residents of the village, aged 18 and 20, were arrested following the operation. The police stated that their detention has been extended from time to time by the court, and that they expect to request a further extension of the detention for one of the suspects. The detention of the other suspect was extended until Sunday.
Since the beginning of the year, Northern District police officers and Border Police fighters have seized more than 600 weapons. The police stated that the forces continue to operate to locate illegal weapons and to bring those involved in violent incidents to justice.
