Former Netanyahu Office Official: "He Is Unable to Control Her, She Runs the Country"
Sara Netanyahu is facing a new legal storm following testimony from a former employee at the Prime Minister's residence. The Prime Minister's Office has categorically rejected these allegations.

Sara Netanyahu is facing a new legal storm following the testimony of a former employee at the Prime Minister's residence. The new testimony, revealed on Channel 12 by journalist Omri Maniv, includes allegations of abuse by the Prime Minister's wife during the employee's tenure, while the Prime Minister's Office rejects these claims entirely. In a lawsuit filed at the Jerusalem Regional Labor Court against the Prime Minister's Office, the former employee is demanding 300,000 shekels in compensation.
Edna Halbani, who served as a visit coordinator at the Prime Minister's Office for fifty years, retired after working under every prime minister from Menachem Begin to Benjamin Netanyahu. Halbani addressed the testimony revealed on Channel 12 and harshly criticized Sara Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, and their son Yair. Additionally, Halbani expressed criticism regarding the conduct of Defense Minister Israel Katz, who caused a stir on the program "The Patriots" on Channel 14.
In a post on her X account, the former senior official wrote: "I will put it this way: we hear about her abuses, the heart refuses to believe what the ears hear, but believe it, apparently. We hear about the Defense Minister and the ingrained fool who sold his soul to the Bibists, and naturally, we are angry and furious at her and at this fool."
Following these claims, Edna Halbani expressed great disappointment with the decision-making process of the Prime Minister, with whom she worked for many years: "Here we are sinning against the truth. They are not aware of their actions, neither she nor the fool. Their empty brain has ceased to function. The one and only person to blame here is the man who stands at the head of the government. He does not see, does not hear, does not know, and has no idea about her actions while he lives with her. He does not prevent these things, disappears and remains silent, is unable to take control of her, and is not interested in putting an end to it. This woman runs the country, and this is a tragedy for generations and a danger to life."
Later, Halbani addressed the appointment of Israel Katz to the position of Defense Minister: "The one who appointed this ingrained fool, this nobody, to the position of Defense Minister is the same person who wants people as incompetent as this minister and his likes to be subject to his authority. To do whatever he pleases. This man brought upon us all these despicable people, some of whom are now sitting in the government, because he wants them small, very small, to be subject to his authority and especially to the antics of his wife."
In response to the report, the Prime Minister's Office stated: "The Prime Minister's Office rejects entirely the baseless claims raised in the report. This is a household employee who worked for a short time at the Prime Minister's residence and was fired after failing in his duties, and vented his frustration in a statement of claim full of lies. This is another attempt in a long-standing industry of extorting money from the state through empty smears. Only recently, Mrs. Netanyahu won once again in court against an employee who threw lies at her and was forced by the judge to pay compensation."
The employee was fired in an orderly process for professional reasons only, including poor performance, repeated mistakes, and conduct that does not align with procedures. The office is convinced that the facts will be clarified within the framework of the legal process, where a detailed response will be given to each of his claims.
