"Rape is rape - both physical and technological": Yanki Goldhaber exposes the sexual extortion he underwent
The reality TV star has decided to put an end to the extortion and threats that turned his life into a nightmare, and to expose what he defines as rape that occurred twice. "No person in the world has the right to silence you," he wrote.
We are used to seeing him smiling, conquering the screen and melting our hearts in the 2024 season of Big Brother, but it seems that behind the smile of the reality star, Yanki Goldhaber (23), hid a secret that took a heavy mental toll. In a series of stories uploaded on Sunday, Goldhaber revealed that he was a victim of alleged extortion and threats surrounding his intimate content and conversations.
"I want to open up a very painful subject," Yanki began, "I don't know how many have gone through this in their lives, but it breaks your heart and is scary every single moment." It turns out that Goldhaber suffered severe threats, and according to him, this trauma paralyzed him for a long time.
"Until today, I was deathly afraid to talk about this. I was afraid that the moment I spoke, I would feel inferior in the eyes of my surroundings, and mainly I was afraid that these despicable people would start publishing difficult things."
This time, he decided to stand up to the extortionists: "I understood that I must do this. I am not afraid anymore. I will not let any person in the world silence me and let me live in endless fear. I will defeat you, and you will pay for your actions."
Yanki reveals that this is not a one-time event, but something that happened to him twice. He described the method used by those who trapped him: "It starts with a little compliment, continues to a series of endless conversations, and then anxiety every moment of life. Intimate conversations that in one moment can dismantle your life. There are very bad people behind these pages who know exactly how to trap you."
From Yanki's perspective, although it is not a physical assault, the experience is equivalent to rape in every way: "Rape is rape. Both physical, God forbid, and technological."
At the end of his message, Yanki chose to encourage other young people who are going through similar suffering: "Most importantly, if this happened to you, do not be ashamed, do not be afraid, tell your story. No person in the world has the right to silence you and let you live in fear."
