Officers of the Lachish Traffic Division arrested a driver in Ashkelon who was disqualified from driving and was caught behind the wheel for the third time while under that disqualification. An indictment was filed against the Ashkelon resident after he was caught operating a vehicle despite a court-imposed ban. A check conducted by the officers revealed that the driver was disqualified until the end of proceedings in a previous case regarding driving under the influence of drugs. It also emerged that this is the third time he has been caught driving while disqualified, with his driver's license having expired back on 01.05.2001.

During the incident, the driver provided a urine sample that tested positive for cocaine. This is the fourth time he has been caught driving under the influence of drugs, with indictments already filed against him in two previous cases. In addition, it emerged that he is currently performing community service as part of a criminal case for possession of drugs not for personal use. The suspect was interrogated as part of a criminal case, and upon completion of the investigation, an indictment was filed through the traffic prosecution unit. At the same time, the vehicle owner was summoned for a hearing.
