Pedestrian killed in traffic accident in Sharon region

A man in his 50s was struck by a vehicle on Highway 4 near the Pardesiya junction. His death was pronounced at the scene.

A pedestrian in his 50s was killed this evening, Sunday, after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 4 near the Pardesiya junction, adjacent to Netanya. An MDA team pronounced his death at the scene. The report was received at 20:18 at the MDA 101 emergency center for the Sharon region.

MDA paramedic Orian Lukach Kinan and MDA medic Abir Moyal stated:

"We saw the pedestrian lying on the side of the road unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with very severe injuries to his body. We performed medical checks, but unfortunately, his injuries were critical, and we had no choice but to pronounce his death."

Earlier today, a pedestrian in his 50s was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Nazareth. An MDA team evacuated him to the English Hospital in the city. Separately, on Highway 1 near the HaMetzuda junction, two Palestinians in their 40s were killed in a collision between two cars. A third man in his 40s was seriously injured in the same incident and was evacuated by an MDA team to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. The deaths of the victims were pronounced at the scene.
