Pedestrian in his 30s seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Ramle
The victim was evacuated to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital with head and limb injuries; his condition remains unstable. A MADA paramedic noted that the man suffered severe bodily trauma.
A pedestrian in his 30s was seriously injured on Wednesday after being struck by a bus on Herzl Street in Ramle. MADA paramedics provided immediate medical assistance before evacuating him to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital with head and limb injuries. His condition is currently unstable.
Shmuel Orlov, a MADA emergency medical technician from the motorcycle unit who responded to the scene, stated:
"When we arrived, we found the pedestrian lying on the road. He was conscious but suffering from severe bodily trauma. We provided life-saving treatment, including hemorrhage control, bandaging, and splinting, and evacuated him in a MADA intensive care ambulance to the hospital in serious and unstable condition."
Fatal traffic accidents continue to occur. This past weekend, singer and paytan Avishai Levi, 46, was killed in a tragic incident on Adoniyahu HaCohen Street in Jerusalem.
The accident took place shortly before the start of the Sabbath. According to reports, Levi, who worked as a shuttle driver, had exited his vehicle to unload luggage. The vehicle began to roll backward as it had not been set to park. Levi attempted to stop the rolling vehicle but was crushed. MADA teams evacuated him in critical condition to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital, where medical staff were forced to pronounce his death.
