Right-wing party threatens lawsuit against Shas: "They copied the campaign and misled the public"
The Noam Le-Israel party sent a warning letter to Shas demanding they stop using a campaign that it claims was copied from them. The party argues that the use of the campaign could mislead voters and generate illicit benefits.
The Noam Le-Israel party launched a campaign centered on the slogan "I chose the path of faith" at the beginning of the week across the country. The campaign appeals to the traditional and Haredi public with the promise "With faith!" — covering judicial reform and restraint, preservation of the Torah world, value-based education, equal budgeting, and the commitment to honest and dedicated public representatives.
In light of the campaign being copied by the Shas party, Noam Le-Israel sent a warning letter to Shas party CEO MK Haim Biton, demanding the immediate removal and cessation of the campaign due to concerns regarding voter deception and the generation of illicit benefits.
Noam Le-Israel stated: "Ahead of such a fateful election campaign to ensure the continuation of right-wing rule, we expected fair competition precisely from our partners in the faith-based bloc. We were stunned to discover today that the Shas party chose to act in crooked ways, to mislead the public, and to harm our election campaign."
