The Jerusalem team of the Police Internal Investigations Department (Mahash) questioned today (Thursday) under caution a police investigation officer, with the rank of Captain (Pakad), on suspicion of sexually harassing and committing an indecent act against a woman who arrived at a police station to file a complaint. At the end of the interrogation, the officer was released under conditions of distance from police facilities and a prohibition on contacting those involved for 11 days. The police stated that the investigation is ongoing.
Earlier today, it was learned that Mahash filed an indictment in the Nazareth Magistrate's Court against a 29-year-old man who served as a Border Police (Magav) fighter in the Shahar company in Jerusalem, for a series of sexual harassment offenses against a minor under the age of 14. The indictment was filed by Adv. Hilla Cohen from Mahash, following an investigation conducted by the department's Jerusalem team.
According to the indictment, about two years ago, the defendant made contact with the minor via Instagram. As part of the correspondence, he conducted conversations of an explicit sexual nature, while, according to the charge, he was aware of the victim's young age.
Among other things, the defendant asked the minor if he had met or had sexual relations with adults in the past. After the minor replied in the negative, he wrote to him: "You are really in the packaging, I will receive you brand new." Later, he offered him several times to come to his house and sleep over, and even offered to pick him up and give him "whatever he wants."
According to the indictment, during the conversations, the defendant explained to the minor sexual acts and concepts from the BDSM world, sent him messages in which he described his sexual arousal, and asked for pictures.
At a certain stage, the minor clarified to the defendant that he had not yet turned 14 and even gave him his exact date of birth. Despite this, it is alleged, the defendant continued the sexual correspondence. After reacting to his age with the words "really small," he suggested having a "threesome" and asked the minor for the Instagram account details of another minor in order to add him to the meeting.
