New Hotel to Be Built in Israel: Fattal Chain Invests in the Dead Sea
One of the region's oldest hotels has been demolished to make way for a desert lifestyle resort. The project will feature a unique water park and an advanced wellness complex, aiming to attract a new demographic to the Dead Sea.

The Fattal hotel chain announced on Tuesday the development of the NYX Dead Sea hotel, which will be built on the site of the former Leonardo Inn Dead Sea. The project involves a complete reconstruction of the property, including its infrastructure and hospitality concept. The investment in the new NYX-branded hotel is estimated at hundreds of millions of shekels.
Upon completion, Fattal will operate four hotels at the Dead Sea: Herods Dead Sea, Leonardo Plaza Dead Sea, Leonardo Club Dead Sea, and the new NYX Dead Sea. Construction is expected to begin by the end of this year, with an opening date scheduled for early 2028.

The resort will span 44 dunams and feature 182 rooms, including 37 with private pools. Facilities will include a central swimming pool, an advanced wellness complex with 11 treatment rooms, a saltwater pool, a solarium, a restaurant, a kids' club, a gym, and meeting spaces.
A key feature of the project is a modern water park, which will be open to both hotel guests and the general public. It is expected to become a major entertainment hub for families and further establish the Dead Sea as a premier tourist destination in Israel.

"The Dead Sea is one of Israel's most unique natural sites, and we see significant potential for continued growth. We intend to create a hotel unlike anything else in the region: a desert lifestyle resort spanning 44 dunams, combining a water park, an advanced wellness complex, and a central pool that simulates the Dead Sea, alongside evening pool parties with a DJ," said Nadav Fattal and Asaf Fattal, co-CEOs of Fattal Hotels Israel.

They added: "We believe the combination of the desert, wellness, and the energy associated with the NYX brand will attract a younger audience looking for quality and a different kind of experience. This investment reflects our belief in the Dead Sea's potential to continue developing and renewing itself."
