New Technological High School for Girls to Open in Samaria

The Samaria Regional Council has published an official announcement regarding the opening of a religious technological high school for girls in Havat Yair, intended for students in grades 9 through 12. The school will begin its operations at the start of the upcoming school year in buildings in Ba'alei Zahav, and will later be moved to its permanent location in Havat Yair. The new institution will be operated and managed by the AMIT network after winning a tender published by the council. The move is intended to expand educational solutions in Judea and Samaria and adapt them to the diverse needs of the region's students.

The new framework is being established to provide a dedicated educational response for young women who wish to study in a high school setting rather than an ulpana. The school will place emphasis on discovering the personal strengths of each student, empowerment, and open dialogue, alongside personal guidance and emotional and social support. The high school will be managed by Zahava Tamir, who has experience in education, working with at-risk youth, and leading pedagogical programs in the AMIT network. Tamir is a doctoral student at Ben-Gurion University, holds a master's degree from Beit Berl College, and a bachelor's degree from Orot College.

Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan welcomed the opening of the high school and noted that it is a professional model that looks first and foremost at the student and her abilities. He thanked his deputy, who holds the education portfolio, Davidi Ben Zion, the director of the education department Tal Navoni, and the AMIT network. AMIT network CEO, Dr. Amnon Eldar, thanked the Samaria Regional Council for the trust and emphasized the network's commitment to translating the educational vision into the advancement of every student in the field.
