Motorcycle rider critically injured in accident with a truck on Ayalon Highway

A motorcycle rider, aged about 45, was critically injured after being hit by a truck on Highway 20, near the Rokach interchange. MADA teams provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital while he was suffering from multi-system trauma. Medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene found the rider unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, while civilians were performing basic resuscitation procedures on him.

MADA motorcycle unit medics, Yinon Levy, David Amichai, and Israel Pinto, said:

"This is a very serious traffic accident, a motorcycle rider who was hit by a truck. When we arrived at the scene of the accident, we saw a man aged about 45 lying on the road unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, and civilians were performing basic resuscitation procedures on him. We continued with advanced resuscitation procedures and initial medical treatment for his injuries, and we evacuated him in a MADA intensive care ambulance to the hospital while his condition is defined as critical and we are fighting for his life."

Yarkon District police officers and traffic investigators of the Tel Aviv District are at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
