Motorcyclist arrested in bed after posting video of traffic violations
A suspect filmed himself committing dangerous traffic violations near a police car and posted the footage on social media. Border Police and traffic detectives arrested him at his home in Lod.
This week, in a joint operation by the Border Police tactical brigade and detectives from the Traffic Division's central unit, a suspect was arrested in Lod. The man had filmed himself committing life-threatening traffic violations on a motorcycle near a police car and subsequently published the footage on social media.
Following an investigation to locate him, police forces arrived at the suspect's home in Lod and arrested him in his bed. During the operation, items of clothing and gloves, suspected to have been used during the offenses, were seized. The motorcycle believed to be involved in the violations was also confiscated. Inside the vehicle, police discovered approximately 20 grams of a substance suspected to be cannabis. The suspect was transferred to the offices of the Traffic Division's central unit for further processing.
In a separate recent incident, two brothers aged 3 and 5 were hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center after consuming candies containing active cannabis substances. The children arrived at the emergency department suffering from dizziness, confusion, blurred vision, and instability. Medical staff determined the symptoms were caused by the ingestion of candies containing THC and CBD. Nurse Sarah Hafter provided immediate medical care and connected the brothers to monitoring equipment.
