One Dead and Two Injured in Collision Near Tel Arad
A fatal road accident occurred on Tuesday evening on Highway 80 near the Tel Arad junction, involving a truck and a private vehicle. A man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were evacuated to Soroka Hospital for further treatment.
A fatal road accident occurred on Tuesday evening on Highway 80 near the Tel Arad junction, when a truck and a private vehicle collided with great force. Emergency services arriving at the scene were forced to pronounce the death of a man in his 50s who was trapped inside the private vehicle. Two other individuals involved in the crash received medical treatment and were evacuated to Soroka Hospital.
Investigation teams and MADA personnel reported severe damage to the private vehicle. MADA paramedic Muhammad Abu Matir, senior medic Saar Shahori, and medic Anwar Abu Farid stated that the victim was found trapped in the vehicle, unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and suffering from critical injuries. Despite medical efforts during the rescue operation, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to the fatality, medical teams provided life-saving treatment to two other victims:

A man in his 30s, who sustained serious injuries, is fully conscious and suffering from multi-system trauma.

A man in his 40s, who was evacuated in moderate condition with injuries to his abdomen and limbs.
Both were transported by intensive care ambulances to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.
Following the accident, traffic investigators from the Negev district and police officers from the Ar'ara station arrived at the scene to launch an official investigation into the circumstances of the collision. Highway 80 is currently closed to traffic in both directions, and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes until the scene is cleared.
