A 35-year-old man was killed and 5 people were injured in a traffic accident between a private vehicle and a minibus on Highway 98, near the Afik junction in the southern Golan Heights.

MADA teams pronounced the death of one of the victims and evacuated 5 other injured people to the hospital: a man in his 30s in moderate condition with limb injuries and 4 in light condition.

On the night between Wednesday and Thursday last week, a truck driver was killed after colliding with a private vehicle on Highway 4, near the Holot interchange in the Rishon LeZion area. MADA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene pronounced his death at the scene after he was extracted from the truck, which had caught fire.

MADA paramedic Anna Minis and medics Simcha Chasid and Orin Barsi said:

"This is a very difficult scene. The truck driver was trapped inside the truck with a very severe injury and no signs of life. We performed medical checks, at the end of which, unfortunately, we had to pronounce his death at the scene."

Hours earlier, a motorcyclist in his 30s was seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Bat Yam. MADA teams provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv suffering from multi-system trauma. At the same time, a motorcyclist in his 20s was seriously injured while riding in Netanya. He was evacuated to Laniado Hospital in the city suffering from a head injury.

On Tuesday, a pedestrian in his 50s was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 4, near the Yavne interchange. MADA medics and paramedics provided him with medical treatment and performed resuscitation efforts, but were forced to pronounce his death at the scene. A few hours earlier, during the night, a pedestrian in his 40s was killed after being hit by a vehicle at the Hadera junction.
