M16, ammunition and over 100,000 shekels seized near Nablus

An M16 rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, 11 magazines, and over 100,000 shekels in cash were seized during a search conducted in recent days at a house in the village of Qaryut, near Nablus. Two local residents were arrested and transferred for questioning at the Ariel station.

The operation was carried out following intelligence information received by the Judea and Samaria District Police. Officers from the Ariel station in the Samaria region directed IDF forces from the Samaria Brigade to the house where the weaponry was suspected to be held.

During the search, the forces located the M16 rifle, the ammunition, and the 11 magazines. Alongside the weaponry, a cash sum of over 100,000 shekels was found at the scene and seized as part of the operation.

The two suspects, residents of the village, were arrested at the scene and transferred for further questioning at the Ariel station. The investigation is currently examining the source of the weapons, ammunition, and money, the circumstances of their possession, and any potential connection to criminal or security-related activity.
