Channel 12 reporter harassed in the south: Wolt courier arrested following threats

An unusual incident in the south ended with the arrest of a Wolt courier after he allegedly followed Channel 12 reporter Itay Gal-On, harassed him, and made threats against him. Following the incident, a police complaint was filed, and the courier was taken into custody. Wolt announced that their engagement with him was terminated immediately.

According to the report on Channel 12, the incident occurred while Gal-On was in the south for his journalistic work. At some point, the reporter noticed the Wolt courier, who began following him and did not stop at verbal criticism.

The incident escalated when the courier made it clear to Gal-On that he intended to continue following him until he left the city. During the confrontation, he turned to the journalist and said:

"You are N12, you have said enough."

Following the unusual conduct and the threats, a police complaint was filed. The courier was subsequently arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. The affair drew attention also due to the fact that the suspect was on duty as a courier for one of the well-known delivery companies in Israel.

Wolt was quick to distance itself from the behavior attributed to the courier and clarified that the incident led to an immediate termination of their relationship with him. "The engagement with the courier was terminated immediately," the company stated.

This case joins a series of incidents in which media personnel encounter hostility during their work in the field. However, this time, according to the report, it was not just about shouting or a localized argument; the claim that the courier followed the reporter and announced he would not stop until he left the area led the matter quickly to police intervention and an arrest.
