A 57-year-old man was seriously injured today, Monday, in a violent incident in the village of Ein Qiniyye on the Golan Heights. MADA medical teams arrived at the scene, provided initial treatment, and evacuated the victim by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where he remains in serious condition. A 24-year-old suspect, a resident of the village, was arrested by Northern District police officers on suspicion of attacking the victim. The suspect has been transferred to the police station for further questioning; the background to the incident is criminal.

In a separate development, police officers arrested Shalom (Charlie) Buzaglo last night. He had been wanted for questioning for three months on suspicion of assaulting his partner and was found hiding in an apartment in the city of Dimona. The case began three months ago when an investigation was opened at the Ashdod station following a report of a serious violent incident. Buzaglo had fled his home, prompting the police to launch extensive searches and request public assistance in locating him.
