51-Year-Old Man Arrested for Rape in Bat Yam
A 51-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of the violent rape of an 18-year-old woman at an apartment hotel in Bat Yam. The suspect was located by police shortly after the report was received.
A 51-year-old man was arrested this evening, Thursday, on suspicion of the violent rape of an 18-year-old woman at an apartment hotel in Bat Yam. The report of the incident was received around 19:00, and within a short time, the suspect was located by police officers from the Bat Yam station in an open area in the city.
The suspect was transferred for questioning at the police station. Depending on the findings of the investigation, the police will request to extend his detention in court.
As a reminder, yesterday two young men were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the gang rape of a minor at a party in the north over the weekend. The police stated: "Naturally, we cannot elaborate further as this is a proceeding being conducted behind closed doors."
Earlier today, the State Attorney's Office filed an indictment in the Haifa District Court against Alon Suissa, a 46-year-old resident of Nesher. He is charged with committing serious sexual offenses against a child of about 6 and another of about 7, as well as committing sexual offenses against two girls, aged 10 and 8, via the internet.
