51-year-old man arrested on suspicion of rape at an apartment hotel in Bat Yam

A 51-year-old resident of Bat Yam was arrested on suspicion of rape involving a young woman aged approximately 18, police announced on Thursday evening. The incident, which authorities have classified as a violent assault, occurred at an apartment hotel in Bat Yam.
The initial report was received by the police emergency center around 19:00. Upon receiving the call, officers from the Holon station and forensic investigators from the Ayalon District arrived at the scene. The team immediately began conducting urgent investigative procedures and collecting evidence to identify the suspect.
Simultaneously, officers from the Bat Yam station conducted searches in the area and located the suspect in an open space within the city. He was arrested on the spot and transferred to the Bat Yam police station for questioning. Police intend to bring the suspect before a court to request an extension of his detention as the investigation into the circumstances continues.
