Police officers from the Bat Yam station in the Ayalon district have completed the investigation into the suspected violent rape of an 18-year-old woman at an apartment hotel in the city. Today, Monday, a prosecutor's statement was filed against the suspect, a 51-year-old resident of Bat Yam, by the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office, in preparation for the filing of an indictment and a request to keep him in custody until the end of the proceedings.

The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday, August 6, when a report was received at the police 100 emergency center regarding the suspected violent rape of an 18-year-old woman at an apartment hotel in Bat Yam.

Police officers and a forensic investigator from the Ayalon district arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence. Within a short time, the suspect was located in an open area in the city, arrested, and transferred for questioning at the police station.

During the investigation, which was defined by the police as complex and sensitive, investigators collected evidence against the suspect for committing serious sexual offenses.

The suspect's detention was extended periodically at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. With the conclusion of the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office filed a prosecutor's statement today, confirming its intent to file a serious indictment and a request for his detention until the end of the proceedings.
