46-year-old Be'er Sheva resident charged with sex offenses against minor relative
The State Attorney's Office has filed an indictment against a resident of Be'er Sheva for sex offenses against his 10-year-old relative. According to the indictment, the defendant exploited his role as the person accompanying her from school to perform indecent acts. Prosecutors have requested that he remain in custody until the end of legal proceedings, noting that the abuse ceased only after the victim gathered the courage to report it.
The court permitted for publication this morning, Thursday, that the Southern District Attorney's Office recently filed a severe indictment in the Be'er Sheva District Court against a 46-year-old resident of the city, charging him with committing sex offenses against his relative, a minor of about 10 years old.
According to the indictment, the defendant regularly accompanied the girl from school to her home or his own in exchange for payment. On one occasion, while they were watching a movie together, the minor complained of back pain, and the two moved to his room for a massage. It is alleged that under these circumstances, the defendant committed sex offenses against her, ceasing his actions only after she asked him several times to stop. The indictment further states that during this period, the defendant performed additional indecent acts, including touching over her clothes and kissing her on the lips.
In parallel to the indictment, a request was filed to extend the defendant's detention until the conclusion of the legal proceedings. The request noted that the defendant's actions ceased solely because the minor gathered the courage to file a complaint. The central charges in the case include sex offenses within the family and by a person responsible for a helpless individual.
