European aviation giant returns to Israel: KLM resumes flights
Dutch airline KLM, which suspended operations in March, is returning to the Israeli market. Flights between Amsterdam and Tel Aviv will resume on August 25.
After many foreign airlines canceled flights to Israel due to regional tensions, Ben Gurion Airport continues to recover. At the peak of the summer season, European aviation giant KLM has shared some welcome news for thousands of Israelis.
According to a report by passportnews, the Dutch airline will resume operations on the route between Amsterdam (Schiphol) and Tel Aviv on August 25. Flights from Israel are scheduled to depart at 04:45 AM, arriving in Amsterdam at 08:40 AM. In the opposite direction, flights will depart at 20:10 PM and land at Ben Gurion Airport at 02:55 AM. At this stage, it appears the flights will include a stopover in Larnaca.
Ticket prices are expected to be around 290 euros one-way in economy class and approximately 610 euros one-way in business class.
As previously noted, the Lufthansa Group recently announced a significant increase in its Israeli operations. A major highlight is the return of SWISS, which had not flown to Israel since March. The airline landed at Ben Gurion Airport last week on a flight from Zurich and is expected to operate this route on a daily basis.
