A 50-year-old man, previously convicted of serious sex offenses against children with cerebral palsy, was apprehended on Wednesday upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport, 11 years after he left the country. In an official statement, police defined him as a "pedophile therapist who posed as a physiotherapist" and emphasized that he is suspected of a series of other sex offenses committed against additional children before his departure.

According to the police, officers from the Zevulun station opened an investigation in 2015 regarding a series of sex offenses against minors in the Haifa and Krayot area, which occurred during "treatments" provided by the suspect. About a month before the complaint was filed in 2015, the suspect fled the country, and police subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest. On Wednesday, upon his return, he was taken into custody at the airport and brought to the Zevulun police station in the Hof District for questioning, after which he was incarcerated. Today, the suspect will appear in court for a remand hearing.
