A heavy blow to Israeli internet stars: about 20 performances canceled at the last minute

The summer show YouStars, featuring internet stars Noam Piruz, Roi "Ping Pong", and Noam "Muffin", has suffered a painful blow: about 20 performances planned across the country were unexpectedly canceled, and disappointed buyers will be compensated with a refund, according to a report by makoz.

Among the venues where performances were canceled: the Diamond Theatre in Ramat Gan, the Jerusalem Theatre, Cinema City Glilot, Beersheba, and the Culture Hall in Ness Ziona. While production sources justified the move by citing the security situation and tensions with Iran, questions are being raised in the industry, as most performances in Israel continue to take place as scheduled.

Those close to the show are quick to reassure and present a softer version. The production claims that this is a postponement to a calmer time and not a final cancellation. They further added that most of the performances that did not take place were closed events booked by companies and workers' committees, which chose to cancel due to the security situation and the proximity to the Tishrei holidays.

However, the production emphasized that dozens of performances of the show are still taking place, selling out, and enjoying success with the audience, and only a small part of the performance schedule was reduced due to security concerns.

As recalled, Piruz's name recently made headlines due to a bold marketing move. About two months ago, drivers on the Ayalon Highway encountered something unprecedented: a huge billboard with full credit card details, including the card number, expiration date, and the three digits on the back (CVV). It later turned out that behind this move was Noam Piruz, a young internet star who made his fortune from digital e-commerce businesses and successful YouTube and Instagram pages.
