Lawyer from Krayot area arrested for possession of large quantity of drugs

A lawyer from the Krayot area was arrested on suspicion of possessing a significant amount of crystal-type hard drugs following a raid conducted by Coastal District police officers at an apartment in the area. After his detention was extended several times for investigation purposes, the court ordered today (Monday) his release under restrictive conditions of house arrest.

According to the police, the investigation was initiated about a week ago following proactive operational activity by Zevulun station officers. During the raid, substances suspected to be crystal-type hard drugs were seized, and the suspect was arrested on the spot and transferred for questioning. Following initial interrogation, he was remanded in custody and subsequently brought to court hearings, where his detention was extended periodically in accordance with the progress of the investigation.

Today, the court determined that he could be released from detention under restrictive conditions of house arrest. The police emphasize that the investigation remains ongoing and that, based on the evidence collected thus far, they intend to file an indictment against the suspect upon the conclusion of the case.
