Another Air Force officer to be charged pending a hearing: betting on Polymarket regarding strikes in Iran and Yemen

An Air Force officer with the rank of Major will be charged pending a hearing with offenses of breach of trust after betting on Polymarket on strikes in Iran and Yemen, we report for the first time this evening (Sunday) on N12. This is an additional indictment in the Polymarket betting affair in the Air Force, only this time the officer is charged only with breach of trust.
In February, another Air Force officer was charged with serious security offenses. He was detained for several months and was eventually released under restrictive conditions.
The indictment stated at the time that the officer violated basic confidentiality obligations and was willing to sell top-secret security information for financial gain. According to the indictment, the officer's actions posed a real risk to Air Force pilots and the operational activity of the IDF, while violating the trust placed in him as part of his role.
During the hearing, the officer claimed that the entire Air Force is involved in betting, stating that the desire for thrills and financial gain were what led him to commit the acts. The court at the time called on senior officials to examine the claims regarding the phenomenon of betting in the force and added: "From the force that flies high, it is expected that its people will not descend into a great abyss."
