During operational activity by police officers from the Ashkelon station, a drug apartment containing narcotics worth hundreds of thousands of shekels was exposed on Wednesday. During the search, about two kilograms of drugs of the "Doctor" type, marijuana, and crystal meth were found, along with additional pills. Officers arrested a suspect who was transferred for questioning at the Ashkelon station.

The deputy station commander stated:

"We will continue to act proactively and decisively against drug offenses and drug distribution hubs, using all the means at our disposal, with the goal of maintaining public safety and bringing those involved to justice."

The search warrant was executed as part of an operation to combat drug-related crimes. Detectives from the Ashkelon station and the K-9 unit of the Sa'ar Brigade participated in the activity. This operation joins a series of intensive efforts against drug distribution hubs. A few months ago, detectives from the Lachish Central Unit (Yamar) exposed and confiscated about a kilogram of a substance suspected to be cocaine in an apartment in Ashkelon, with an estimated value of hundreds of thousands of shekels.

The seizure was carried out as part of focused activity by the Lachish Central Unit (Yamar) against drug trafficking and possession in the city of Ashkelon. During that raid, two suspects were arrested and transferred for further investigation at the Lachish Central Unit.
