Turkey Set to Receive Russian Diesel Under Trump's New Energy Deal
Turkey will receive diesel fuel from Russia under a new US-brokered agreement aimed at lowering global fuel prices. The move has drawn sharp international criticism.

Turkey will receive a portion of the diesel fuel released by Russia to global markets, according to the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources. This comes as part of an agreement reached between Moscow and US President Donald Trump, aimed at lowering fuel prices worldwide.
Under the deal, the US will lift economic sanctions on Russian oil, allowing global nations to resume purchases. The move has drawn sharp criticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who described it as unfair, as well as from European officials and politicians within Trump's Republican Party.
Trump hopes that the injection of additional oil, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, will reduce fuel prices that surged following its blockade. If successful, this would deal another severe blow to Iran, depriving them of a crucial strategic card.
