IDF: Hamas commander who took part in holding Idan Alexander, Matan Zangauker, and Avera Mengistu captive has been eliminated

The IDF struck on Wednesday in the Khan Yunis area and eliminated the terrorist Ismail Muhammad Ibrahim Barim, a commander in the military wing of Hamas. The terrorist held Idan Alexander, Matan Zangauker, and Avera Mengistu captive in a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip.
Recently, the terrorist promoted terror plots against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel and attempted to rehabilitate the organization's capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire. The strike was carried out with the aim of removing the threat.
Several days ago, the IDF announced that it had eliminated two Hamas terrorists in a strike in the Deir al-Balah area in the central Gaza Strip. According to the army's statement, the two had recently been working to promote terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli citizens and to rehabilitate Hamas's capabilities.
One of the two eliminated is Muhammad Abd al-Nasser Jaber Abu Asad, a Nukhba terrorist in the military wing of Hamas. The IDF stated that Abu Asad was among the terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.
According to the IDF, in recent times, both terrorists worked to promote terror plots, while simultaneously attempting to rehabilitate Hamas's capabilities in the Strip. The army defined their activity as a "systematic violation of the ceasefire" and clarified that the strike was carried out with the aim of removing the threat posed by them.
