IDF Eliminates Two Hamas Commanders Involved in October 7 Attacks

The IDF announced today, Thursday, that it eliminated two Hamas terrorists in strikes carried out earlier this week in the Gaza Strip. Among those eliminated are the head of a sniper cell in the Nuseirat battalion and a platoon commander in the organization's military wing, who raided Israeli territory during the October 7 attack.

According to the IDF Spokesperson, the Air Force struck the southern Gaza Strip and eliminated Ahmed al-Hasham Mahmoud Luh, who served as the head of a sniper cell in Hamas's Nuseirat battalion. The IDF noted that Mahmoud Luh was the last head of a sniper cell in the battalion, and his elimination joins a series of strikes against senior figures within the unit.

In a separate strike in the northern Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Ali Mahmoud Trush, a platoon commander in Hamas's military wing, was eliminated. According to the IDF, Trush participated in the raid into Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre.

It was further stated that throughout the war, the terrorists attempted to advance terror plots against IDF forces and Israeli citizens. The IDF emphasized that both individuals posed a threat to the forces and operated from within the Strip, and were therefore eliminated in precise aerial strikes.
