In an interview with radio host Glenn Beck, US President Donald Trump addressed recent reports in The Atlantic regarding the fate of Mojtaba Khamenei, providing for the first time details about his physical condition.
"I don't think he's dead, he was severely wounded," Trump clarified, noting that the left side of his body — specifically his arm and leg — was severely damaged.
According to him, the regime's attempts to project business as usual do not reflect reality: "They are putting on a whole show about the fact that they constantly need to go back to him and get his blessing."
How can you demonstrate against machine guns?
During the interview, Trump was asked why the public in Iran is not rising up against the regime. Trump pointed to the cruel oppression exercised by the security apparatus and explained that it is very difficult for citizens to take to the streets when the government's response is lethal: "It's hard to demonstrate when people are shooting at you and there are machine guns in front of the protesters."
Regarding the overall campaign, Trump expressed absolute confidence in the outcome of the war: "Their army has been completely destroyed, and our army has done an outstanding job. We are heading for victory — we had a victory in Venezuela, and we will have a victory here very soon."

From the report, it appears that one of Khamenei's legs was operated on three times, and he was waiting for a prosthetic leg fitting. In addition, his face and lips suffered severe burns that make it difficult for him to speak, and he is expected to need a series of plastic surgeries. However, sources note that cognitively he remains sharp-minded and continues to be involved in decision-making.
The reason Khamenei has avoided publishing a video message is his desire to avoid appearing vulnerable or having a weak voice.
