US President Donald Trump mocked Middle Eastern names at a Georgia rally, joking about the name Muhammad while discussing Iran and upcoming midterm elections.

Trump Mocks Middle Eastern Names at Georgia Rally
US President Donald Trump delivered another characteristic moment at his campaign rally in Georgia, mocking the popularity of the name Muhammad in the Muslim world and revisiting a jab targeting Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
Speaking to a crowd at a hangar in the Dalton municipal airport, Trump joked about guessing names of Middle Eastern figures. "If you're in doubt about someone's name from the Middle East, just say Muhammad," Trump told the audience. "You have about a 65% chance. I've been doing it for years — I've never been wrong."
The remarks came as Trump campaigned for Republican candidates ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. While ostensibly discussing Iran, the quip seamlessly integrated into his ongoing attacks against El-Sayed, whom Trump previously insisted on calling "Muhammad El-Sayed" despite his actual first name being Abdul.
Pressure on Iran and Military Options
Transitioning to foreign policy, Trump focused his rhetoric on Tehran. "Iran is the only country where nobody wants to be president," he quipped, before reiterating his longstanding promise that Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons.
The statements follow recent announcements that Washington is engaged in productive talks with Tehran, alongside reports that the White House has asked the Pentagon to prepare contingency plans ranging from targeted strikes to broader military action following the midterms.
