Found without food and water — Border Police officers rescued a dog for a new life
During operational activity in the village of Al-Eizariya, forces heard whimpering and discovered a neglected dog inside a cage made of wooden planks. She was transferred for treatment, will receive vaccinations, and will stay in isolation to rule out diseases, after which she is expected to be put up for adoption.
Border Police officers of the Judea and Samaria Division and police officers of the Judea and Samaria District rescued a dog this week that was being kept in a small cage in the village of Al-Eizariya, neglected and without food or water. She was transferred for treatment and is expected to be put up for adoption later.
During operational activity conducted on Wednesday in the village, the forces heard the whimpering of an animal. They soon located a dog kept inside a small cage made of wooden planks, appearing neglected and living in poor conditions. The officers removed the dog from the village and contacted the animal welfare department of the Israel Police and animal cruelty prevention authorities, who arrived at the scene to continue her care.
The dog was transferred to a protected location, where she will receive the necessary vaccinations and medical treatment. She will stay in isolation to rule out rabies and other diseases. After the treatment and isolation period ends, she is expected to be put up for adoption.
