Three young men rescued from the Sea of Galilee after drifting offshore
Three individuals were rescued after their rubber boat drifted into the middle of the Sea of Galilee near HaShikmim Beach in Tiberias. A United Hatzalah patrol boat located them suffering from mild dehydration and brought them safely to shore.
Three young men were rescued overnight between Monday and Tuesday from the middle of the Sea of Galilee after their rubber boat drifted offshore, leaving them unable to return to land.
United Hatzalah's dispatch center received a report regarding a rubber boat drifting near HaShikmim Beach in Tiberias. The organization's rescue boat, which was conducting a routine patrol on the lake at the time, arrived at the scene and located the three individuals, who were suffering from mild dehydration.
The rescue team brought the young men aboard the United Hatzalah vessel and evacuated them to the dock, where they were met by additional teams. Their condition was assessed as good, and they did not require further medical evacuation.
Yossi Oknin, head of the United Hatzalah branch in Tiberias, stated:
"A few minutes ago, we successfully completed the rescue of three young men from the depths of the Sea of Galilee. Fortunately, they are in good condition. It is important to note that since the beginning of the vacation season, our rescue boat has been on high alert to provide a rapid response to any emergency."
