Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker underwent sudden surgery after experiencing arm numbness following a concert, with wife Kourtney Kardashian and daughter Alabama by his side.
Travis Barker, the 50-year-old Blink-182 drummer and husband of Kourtney Kardashian, recently shocked fans by sharing updates from a hospital bed after undergoing sudden surgery. Following a routine performance last month, Barker began experiencing persistent numbness in his arm, hand, and fingers.
Medical Scare and Surgery
Taking to Instagram, Barker explained that he immediately sought medical evaluation after noticing the alarming symptoms. Doctors determined that he had suffered a nerve injury requiring prompt surgical intervention to prevent long-term damage.
"I didn't want to wait with this, I wanted to deal with it and be past it, so I can keep playing like I play for a very long time," Barker wrote in an Instagram story.
Despite the medical procedure, the musician maintained a lighthearted attitude, posting a photo of himself embracing Kourtney Kardashian while wearing a hospital gown and joking about her cheerful expression.
Family Support and Past Injuries
Barker was surrounded by family during his hospital stay. Aside from his wife, his 20-year-old daughter Alabama Barker also visited to support her father, with Barker proudly sharing moments of their time together.
This health setback comes three years after Barker suffered a severe drumming injury in early 2023, where he badly dislocated a finger and tore ligaments, eventually requiring corrective surgery to continue his career.
