Tragedy in Nahariya: Mother killed and daughter injured after being hit by a taxi

A serious accident occurred on Friday on HaNasi Ben-Zvi Boulevard in Nahariya, when a taxi struck two pedestrians—a mother and her daughter. Rescue teams summoned to the scene provided initial medical treatment and evacuated them to the Galilee Medical Center.

The 67-year-old mother was evacuated in critical condition while unconscious, and her death was pronounced immediately upon arrival at the hospital. Her 27-year-old daughter sustained moderate limb injuries; she is conscious and receiving treatment. The 76-year-old taxi driver was lightly injured and evacuated for medical care. The police have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident.

United Hatzalah medics Radi Haddad and Ronen Lankri, who responded to the scene, stated: "These are two pedestrians who were hit by a taxi. We provided initial medical assistance at the scene, after which both were evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. The woman, aged about 70, was in critical condition while undergoing resuscitation, and the young woman, aged about 20, was in moderate condition. The taxi driver was treated at the scene for light injuries."
