It was a busy summer for Milos Kerkez. The Liverpool defender spent the break in Serbia, Montenegro, and Spain, but it was one photo published from his hometown of Vrbas that turned him into a groom.

The Hungarian-Serbian defender was filmed accompanying a bride to church, and shortly after, congratulations on his marriage began to flow in. Even when he returned to Liverpool training, he said, people continued to congratulate him on the wedding. However, it was not him who got married at all.

"No! That's not true, everyone is mistaken about this," he said in an interview. "It was my older brother. In Serbia, it is customary for younger brothers to accompany the bride to church, and that is exactly what I did. Now everyone thinks I got married."

The defender explained that it was his older brother, Rade. "It was Rade, not me. We are three brothers - Rade is the oldest, I am the youngest, and Marko is in the middle. I constantly have to explain to people that I didn't get married."

Even at the Liverpool training complex, they fell for it. "I was walking around the club when we started preparations for the season and everyone was congratulating me. I had to tell them: 'No, I'm not ready for that yet!'"
