Idan Toklomati continues his remarkable scoring streak, etching his name into Charlotte FC history. The Israeli forward found the net in a resounding 4:0 victory over Montreal, extending his scoring run to five consecutive matches and bringing his season tally to 15 goals. This milestone shatters the previous club record for most goals in a single season, previously held by Karol Swiderski, who scored 12 times in 2023.

Toklomati's recent statistics highlight his stellar form: 11 goals in 13 matches, a stark contrast to his slow start earlier in the campaign. Head coach Dean Smith challenged the striker to elevate his output following a private conversation where the manager emphasized his expectations. "He told me: 'You're a striker? Don't forget you need to provide me with numbers'," Toklomati recalled, noting that the talk pushed him to become more active inside the penalty box and capitalize on rebounds.

Confidence has proven to be the catalyst for the forward's success, particularly after scoring against Toronto on August 20. Beyond raw statistics, Toklomati has significantly improved his hold-up play with his back to the goal. "Before coming here, I struggled a lot with back-to-goal play. I was much leaner and less physical, making it hard to hold off bigger center-backs," he explained. Teammates and staff have taken notice, with Smith praising his aerial ability and captain Ashley Westwood commending his relentless hunger on the pitch.
