Gunfire was heard early Wednesday morning on Dov Hoz Street in Holon. According to the police, officers managed to identify the suspects and apprehend them within a short time. Two men in their 30s were arrested following a pursuit, and a pistol, suspected of being used in the shooting, was found in their vehicle.
The incident began in the early hours of the morning when the police 100 emergency center received several reports of gunfire in the area. Police forces from the Holon station quickly arrived at the scene, began searches, and initiated immediate investigative actions to collect evidence.
At the same time, as part of the investigation, officers from the Bnei Brak station managed to trace the escape route of the suspects, who had fled the scene in a vehicle towards Ramat Gan. The vehicle was located, and inside were the two suspects — residents of Gush Dan and the south.
During a search of the vehicle, a pistol was seized. Despite the shooting directed at a vehicle, no casualties or damage were reported.
The two were transferred for questioning at the Holon police station. They are expected to be brought to a court hearing this morning, where the police will request to extend their detention.
