Mixed trend on the stock exchange: shares of an Israeli food giant plunged by 15%

A volatile trading day in Tel Aviv closed with a mixed trend, as alongside impressive gains in the energy sector, one of the most well-known food companies in Israel recorded a particularly sharp decline that surprised investors.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed today (Thursday) with a mixed trend. The TA-35 index fell by 0.29% to a level of 4,155.83 points, and the TA-125 index rose by 0.02% to a level of 4,040.89 points.

Among the five rising stocks, the winner is the company IDI Insurance, whose shares rose by 9.18% to a level of 25,800 agorot. Following it is the company Doral Energy, whose shares jumped by 8.27% to a level of 6,850 agorot.

The company Bazan showed a positive change in the stock sector and grew by 6.08% to a level of 204 agorot. In fourth place appears the company Nofar Energy, whose shares rose by 5.62% to a level of 18,800 agorot. The shares of Rimon showed a positive change and rose by 5.29% to a level of 12,330 agorot.

Among the five falling stocks, the loser is the company Netto Malinda, which deals in the import, production, and marketing of food products. Its shares plummeted by 15.45% to a level of 12,040 agorot. The shares of the company Arit Industries plunged by 11.85% to a level of 1,957 agorot.

The company Pereshkovsky shows a negative change in the stock sector. The company's shares fell by 6.63% to a level of 12,110 agorot. The company Electra Real Estate showed a decline of 6.51% to a level of 2,730 agorot. Following it appears the company Tamar Petroleum, whose shares fell by 3.34% to a level of 2,982 agorot.

The energy sector had a positive day, against the backdrop of the continued rise in oil prices as well as the influence of financial reports.

Rising sectoral indices:

  3. TA-Cleantech - 2.36%

  4. TA-Energy Israel - 1.81%

  5. TA-Infrastructure - 1.56%

Energy indices stood out positively, led by Doral and Nofar Energy, which published strong financial reports.
