The storm surrounding the tragic murder of Yamano Benjamin Zelke (of blessed memory) has taken a turbulent turn. According to a report by Daniel Amram, the Ben-Gurion school in Petah Tikva has decided to allow a teenager involved in the incident that led to Zelke's death to return to the classroom.
This decision has triggered immense anger and anxiety among students' parents, who have launched a campaign against the move. They have sent urgent letters to Mayor Rami Greenberg and senior municipal officials, unequivocally demanding that the decision be reversed and the teenager's return to the school be prevented.
"Who will protect our children? They will fear for their lives," the concerned parents stated. "We are afraid for our children—what will happen if they anger him? Who will take responsibility?" The parents made it clear they do not intend to let the matter rest, asserting: "We will not give up! We will fight to protect our children. He will not return."
As recalled, 21-year-old Zelke (of blessed memory) was murdered on the eve of Independence Day outside a Pizza Hut in Petah Tikva after attempting to stop teenagers from committing acts of vandalism. While legal proceedings against those involved are ongoing, city residents and parents are demanding an immediate response to ensure the safety of their children.
